Brand new to makeup? Never learned how to do your makeup properly? Need a refresh or looking to update your look? Overwhelmed with Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube tutorials? Want to focus on a particular “trouble area”? Need to learn makeup for stage performances? Need to learn makeup for mature skin? Whatever it is you wish to focus on, Melanie is all yours! She does your makeup while talking you through all the steps of why and how to apply techniques as well as how to use products that are right for you. If y'all wish to be guided through doing some or half of the process on yourself, that's fine too!

For two: Bring a bestie, your mom, or sibling while saving some coins! Learn together during this duo education session.

This scenario allows for the learning to "sink in" better by not only learning your own makeup application but also watching it happen next to you with most steps re-explained! This also will help with accountability later if one forgets one of the steps. This class is long but goes by fast, it is very popular and a lot of fun!

Beginning Makeup Artist

Brand new to applying makeup on someone other than yourself and/or just beginning your makeup career? This 2 or 3 day class is perfect for you! Take your passion for makeup to a professional level! Elevate your artistry by mastering hands-on makeup techniques that Melanie has been using for over 25 years. Melanie is an Emmy winning professional union makeup artist with extensive work on Hollywood films and TV sets. Within every medium including commercial, editorial, red carpet, and bridal makeup. Get up close and personal with her as she explain's the differences between the different of TV makeup vs Film makeup (this is if you desire to learn this) as well as natural makeup, soft glam, full glam, editorial makeup, and bridal makeup. You will learn step-by-step how to create perfected flawless makeup including; skin, eyes, brows, lips, body makeup, and more. This is an intimate in-person experience with only one student per class. If you have done some sort of training or education you do not need to go over basic sanitation. This will all be gone over in your consultation.

• Day 1: You and Melanie will go over sanitation. The best professional makeup to use and why. How to use professional products. Why it's important to have multi tones as well as different foundation, concealer and powder textures in your kit. This leads into what's in Melanie's kit/ her station and why. What's the difference  between skin care and makeup skin prep essentials. If you have already been accumulating a makeup kit she will go through what to keep and what may be worth tossing if time permits. The difference between all of the different types of makeup applications and the difference between all of the different types of makeup careers. Professionalism. How to start building clientele. Melanie will then do a model step by step for a clean no makeup makeup look focusing on the importance of skin. Next, she will bump up the look to a soft glam look, and depending on time can create another look. She will also photograph and film the model in each of her looks with an iPhone, showing you easy and best practices to capture the most out of each of your future applications.

• Day 2: You get right into it! Melanie will do half of the model's face and you do the other 1/2, first in a clean natural look and then bumped up to a soft glam. You will film and photograph each look with your mobile device. Then you will do the model from start to finish in a third look. If there is time she can help you edit and post your video and go over a few tips on social media. *Must have an Instagram account. If you don't have one we can create one. 

• Day 3 Go over any questions you have that came up that hadn't gotten answered. You and Melanie will go over your website and how to improve it. If you don't have a website, then she will advise steps on building one to stand out! You will go over your social media and best practices for social media to get you noticed and hired. You will post and draft more videos from Day 2, as much as time will permit. You will go over invoicing, branding and marketing. Then its more makeup! You can choose a model with a different skin tone, a mature model, male grooming, keep focusing on a more natural makeup look or full glam. Whatever it is you want to focus on! Depending on how well you are doing you will either go back to Melanie doing 1/2 the face or you will do it all yourself!

• Please Keep In Mind: The above 2 or 3 day plan is a template that has worked well with Melanie's students but this is customizable based on your past experience, education and needs. All will be worked out in consultation.

• You now have a Mentor! Melanie wants to keep in touch and see you grow and thrive. You can always reach out to her if you have questions that pop up after or if you face a bump in the road. If extra advice is needed you can book her for a one-on-one virtual mentorship zoom call too!

• Pro Discount: Only professional working makeup artists get to receive our pro makeup discount! As Melanie's student you will get to receive the 20-40% off pro makeup discount from time of class and up to 2 weeks! This is all a career investment and Melanie wants to help you get set up right!

• Deposit and Refund: 50% deposit due upon booking. Remaining 50% balance due 2 weeks prior to class. Must cancel or reschedule 2 weeks prior to class.

• To reschedule: There will be a $250 rescheduling fee.

Professional Makeup Artist Refresher

This is the perfect class if you are just beginning your makeup career with a year or two under your belt, have already taken a makeup course, are already a full time over two year working makeup artist or have been doing it for years and have taken a hiatus or break or just want to refresh!

Been in a makeup rut? Want to break out of makeup applications that feels like it's on repeat? Are products not producing results that you have been using for years? Ready to get into new products? Just want to learn Melanie's signature style? Need help with social media, website and branding?

Then this is the perfect class for you! This is one-on-one up close and personal class with Melanie. She will demo her signature perfected gleaming makeup look, or it can be any look you want to focus on, on a model including full body makeup. She'll go through step-by-step how she creates a solid long lasting makeup with all the special extras – foundation, contour & highlight, cream blush, eye’s, eyebrows, lashes, lips, glow, body makeup and setting the makeup to last.

As she works you both will go over makeup kit staples & tools and how she prep's the skin. She will film and photograph the model. You'll watch, take notes and please ask all the questions you want!

Next, your turn! You’ll do the model as you apply what you just learned. You will then film and photograph your model. The style of makeup you learn can be modified to your specific needs such as clean no makeup makeup, mature makeup, male grooming, makeup for acne or textured skin or bridal makeup. This can be discussed in consultation.

Add two hours:
For the pro mua class only: If you want to focus on and do a second look with the same model or a different model or you want to go over branding, website, social, editing videos- you name it, together with Melanie you can go through any of that. This will be gone over in consultation.

Bridal Makeup

A bridal makeup job is equivalent to working with a celebrity, as you are the star of your big day. Melanie will cater to you as she would a celebrity for a film, tv shoot or red carpet event. 

This Bridal package includes:

• Phone Consultation
• Two hour trial at shop.
• On the wedding day Melanie comes and does you as a “come and go” at the venue or your hotel room. Come and go means: Melanie comes to you and gets you and the wedding party done then goes.
• Melanie brings a top notch team for your wedding party to feel as though everyone is part of a Hollywood experience. Melanie only does the bride and 1 additional woman.
• Grooming for the groom (makeup only).

If the location for wedding day is over 30 miles please check out the extra travel fee. Click here. Any valet or parking at venue or venue's will be the brides responsibility for all team.

Bridal Hair

A bridal hair job is equivalent to working with a celebrity, as you are the star of your big day. We cater to you as we would a celebrity when doing a film, tv shoot or red carpet event. 

This will be a different artist. We believe just like how it runs on a Hollywood set you get the most out of the artist when they are focused on one craft.

This includes:

• Phone Consultation
• Trial at shop. (2 hours) If you would like the artist to come to you for trial within 30 miles of shop an extra fee of $200 will be added. If trial location is over 30 miles please check out the extra travel fee. Click here. It is recommended to do a makeup with hair trial at same time for a complete look. For both hair and makeup to come: $300
• On wedding day we come and do you as a “come and go” at the venue or your hotel room, within 30 miles of shop.Come and go means: We come to you and get you and the wedding party done then go. 
• Bringing a top notch team for wedding party, to feel as though everyone is part of a Hollywood experience.
• Grooming the groom (hair only).

3 hours is the recommended package as Melanie will be giving you homework that needs to be checked on and reviewed along with answering additional questions.

Halloween / Cos Play Makeup

Price will depend on how extensive and time consuming the look is, the extra products needed to complete the look and any extra special skill set required, like SPFX.
