US Shipping & Delivery Time Frame

  • USPS Standard First Class — Free shipping on orders above $75 — 4 to 8 business days
  • USPS & UPS — Pricing and time frame quoted at checkout. Delivery dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.

*LOCAL pick-up available in store! Usually ready within 24 hours, except when we are closed.

*Delivery time frames begin once your order has shipped, not when it is placed.

Items are not processed after 4pm CT. Orders typically ship within 24 hours but may take up to 48 hours to process. Processing time does not include weekends, holidays, or periods of high volume.

Non-shipping Days

Packages do not ship on Saturdays or the following U.S. holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • President's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

Domestic Shipping

All orders ship from Nashville, TN via USPS First Class, Priority Mail, or UPS. You may choose your preferred service at checkout.

First Class Mail does not include insurance or guaranteed delivery. Lost or stolen First Class packages cannot be claimed with USPS and will not be reimbursed.

Priority Mail includes insurance up to $100 and a delivery estimate. This is not an overnight service. If USPS loses or damages a Priority Mail package, you may file a claim — reimbursement is possible but not guaranteed.

If the order value exceeds USPS coverage, The Makeup Altar by Melanie Mills LLC will not cover or reimburse the balance.

The Makeup Altar by Melanie Mills LLC is not responsible for shipments delayed, misdelivered, lost, or stolen once in the carrier's possession. Please verify your shipping address at checkout and ensure your package is delivered to a secure location. All carrier-related claims must be filed directly with USPS or UPS.

Shipping Damages

If your order arrives damaged, please retain all packaging and products and take photos immediately. All shipping damage claims must be filed with the carrier.

Please note: damage to the outer product box (unit carton) is not considered damaged merchandise and does not qualify for a return or refund.

If you receive an incorrect item or a product that is defective (not carrier-damaged), please contact us at customerservice@themakeupaltar.com within 72 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging.

International Shipping

International orders ship via UPS. Pricing and time frames are quoted at checkout with multiple service options available.

*Delivery time frames begin once your order has shipped. Orders typically ship within 24 hours but may take up to 48 hours to process. Processing time does not include weekends, holidays, or periods of high volume. Non-shipping days listed above apply to international orders as well.

Customs & Duty Fees: These fees are not included at checkout. Your government may require payment upon delivery. If you choose not to pay these fees and the package is returned to us, any additional return shipping charges will be deducted from the store credit issued upon receipt.

If your carrier contacts you for customs information, please respond promptly — there are time limits on how long customs can hold an order.

Once a package leaves our warehouse, tracking updates will come from the destination country's postal service. Some local post offices may contact the receiver directly to arrange pickup.

The Makeup Altar by Melanie Mills LLC is not responsible for delays, misdeliveries, lost or stolen packages once in the carrier's possession. All claims must be filed with the carrier. We will not issue refunds for items reported as delivered but lost or stolen.

Free Shipping Disclaimer

Free shipping applies to online orders shipped within the continental USA with a subtotal of $75 USD or more, excluding taxes and additional shipping charges. Phone orders and in-store purchases do not qualify.

The following items are not eligible for free shipping:

  • Flammable/hazmat items: Products containing flammable ingredients, combustible materials, or aerosols.
  • Oversized items: Items that are dimensionally large.
  • Heavy items: Products that exceed standard weight limits.
