Fresh Scab enhances the realism of simulated injuries by allowing artists to create raised blood effects with its popular jelly-like consistency. The deep red-brown color accurately replicates dense oxidized blood, commonly found in aged wounds and dried blood.

There are a myriad of ways you can use Fresh Scab to simulate injuries. A stainless steel spatula can be an ideal tool for removing it from the container and applying.

Create raised blood texture by using a stipple sponge to blot specks of blood onto the face or body. For brutal special effects textures, stipple Fresh Scab onto injuries with our Texture Brushes. To age any prosthetic wound, fill the depths of the simulated injury with Fresh Scab to provide an oxidized effect. You can create a scabbed split in the bridge of the nose, or in an eyebrow with a precise application of Fresh Scab with a Flat Brush (FB) or Round Point (RS) Brush.

Wash off the skin and props with warm, soapy water.

This blood formula remains flexible while maintaining the ability to stay in place allowing for long lasting performance and a realistic finish.
